I used to believe that God was a perfect and intelligent being.
That there was an invisible calculation behind the world, and that every event in life had meaning.
But when I look closely, human life is astonishingly random—perhaps even more random than randomness itself.
If God were truly intelligent, there would be far more things we could make sense of.
So lately, I’ve begun to feel that the world might just be loosely, casually drifting.
And realizing that “looseness” brings me a bit of relief.
If God isn’t perfect, then humans don’t have to be perfect either.
Maybe the world is simply full of the unexpected.
